Have you ever tried LiceKiller? It has a phenominal success rate and its active ingredients are all natural. In fact, neem is one of the essential oils used in the product. You could check it out at www.licekiller.com. The active ingredients are listed and the lice are killed in just 10 seconds. But just treating the head's not enough - the environment should be treated too. Call the volunteers at www.headlicehotline.org and they'll tell you how they eradicated lice & nits from their lives for good.

My daughter came home at the end of this summer from day camp, and had a fairly full blown case of lice. Immediately, I went to the pharmacy & got some Nix, only to find out later that night that the pesticides in this stuff could be detremental to her health.

Well, from there we tried covering her head in olive oil at night, covering her head overnight with her swim team cap. Two days later, with not much of a change, I was picking through for hours with a nit comb, tweezers, and a magnifying glass. On the 3rd day, I called a friend (exhausted already by the lice) who suggested Neem Oil, which I quickly purchased at a whole health foods store. I put 20-30 drops into the olive oil, and did the oil treatments at night again for a few days.

What a difference that made! We also incorporated a Neem shampoo from the same store to wash her hair everyday. I cannot emphasize the need for picking the nits out, but combined with the Neem treatments, we knocked it out shy of 1 week.

Of course, it travelled over to my other daughter towards the end of the treatment with my other daughter, but we got a jump on it with her. I followed the same regime with her, and found that only a few days was necessary with her to completely rid our house of this. Start to finish, we were lice free in less than 2 weeks. I will say that it is a maddening process, but could have been worse if we had not found the Neem products. If you can't find the products locally, get out on the web to find them - you won't be sorry.
